Is Warehouse 13 Unlucky?

Warehouse 13. It’s a show that makes you cough-mumble “Fringe” whenever talking about it.

Admittedly, I’ve only seen about 20 minutes of the show, and as of yet, I’m thinking I was correct to assume so. But I’m open to find out if the show is worth checking out. Is it just another scifi “original” series (ie ripoff?) from the station who hasn’t produced quality original content since SG-1? After peeling away the bad acting, cheesy writing, and shaky camera work, is there a nugget of good story underneath? Let me know in the comments below!

Who's that sexy bitch?

I wish I could answer your question in the positive... alas, that isn't possible. Although, I must say, I'm having the same reaction to Warehouse 13 that I did to True Blood. The first season wasn't all that great, but I felt it had potential. So I stuck it out and have been pleasantly surprised with this new season.

Of course, that's HBO... which is, undoubtedly, a far cry from Syfy.

The closest thing Warehouse 13 has to a redeeming element is the fact that they refer to one of the artifacts at their disposal as "The Tesla". A close runner up is Genelle Williams ;)

I might give it a shot. It wouldn't be the first show I've suffered through to get to the meat of it.

I had a similar experience with "Fringe" as you did with "True Blood"- it seemed like a wannabe "X-Files" and actually turned out to be pretty good- of course, I didn't find out until I missed about 5 episodes of it and was completely lost.

Maybe Warehouse 13 will be the same.
