Aye, it really seems to have done a better job than most films of this genre have. It's definitely worth the price of admission just to see what original thinkers have done that Hollywood execs couldn't.

Yeah, no go on the pet thing.

Last night, in the middle of the night as I was about to fall asleep, I heard a creaking noise. I opened my eyes to find the bathroom door closing on its own. About a minute later, it opened – again on its own. Then it – almost immediately – slammed shut.

Come to find out, it was my cat deciding it was time to screw with my head. She's all black, and impossible to see at night.

Bitch.

It was pretty crazy intense. The earlier parts of the film are reminiscent of night's spent in my in laws crazy home by the creek, in the middle of farm fields and woods.

I have advice for you all. Get a freaking pet. Nothing makes you feel more sane than when you're dog or cat look like they're being challenged or something. Wait, that wouldn't help.

That just strengthens the fear. ;.;

lol you pretty much nailed my exact experience seeing this film. i did find – something that I am not used to – that eventually my terror was so heightened during the sleeping scenes I could not stop myself from watching!
